I was able to easily install my Sabre Samurai cutter on a John Deere 5220 tractor with 521 loader and use the third hydraulic that I already had installed for use with my grapple bucket.
I have 25 acres of woods paths that were overgrown and were trimmed with ease. Also more importantly, I was able to trim tree limbs and saplings along my soy bean and corn fields, allowing much easier tractor and combine access.
I have also used my Sabre Samurai cutter horizontally to trim low hanging tree limbs and will also use it to mow creek banks next spring.
I have had absolutely no problems with my Sabre Samurai cutter and would highly recommend it to others!

I find I do need to check the bolts clamping it on to the bucket occasionally as it does vibrate loss over time.
I tell people who ask me about how well it works, I'm very happy with it. I remind them it's made for trimming not being a lumberjack.
Definitely a good purchase.
Thanks Colin Fletcher.

Thank you for your review of the Sabre Samurai. We love hearing how the cutter has saved you 5 weekends of work and made you the envy of the neighborhood.
I work with a friends group for the Virginia State Parks and trail maintenance is one of the tasks we are constantly challenged with. With over 100 miles of combined use trails in one park alone one can imagine the task of keeping all the face slappers free from our trails for all of its users, horse, hiking, biking, running and fire roads. Historically this has been a very labor intensive task for many people with loppers , pole saws, trimmers ,saws , safety gear, helmets , glasses and a lot of sweat equity. This morning I bush hogged about 10 miles of trails and had the samurai cutter mounted on the front bucket of a 65 hp John Deere. As the trimmings fell to the road the rear mounted bush hog made sawdust of them. Three hours and one man later not only was the trail mowed but much of the face slapping branches were eliminated. A little care , close attention and a slower gear were all that was necessary to perform a nicely manicured trail. I’ve also run this on a 25 hp Kubota tractor with equal results. While using on a smaller tractor a counter balance is wise on the rear for added stability and safety.

Trimmer on line. Was easy to install, but I found that the grub screws damaged the side of my bucket. I'm now planning to build a full quick attach loader mount for the trimmer, which will include a hydraulic angle control. I bought the Samurai trimmer in order to trim back the brush growth around electric fences on roughly 30 acres of pasture and I was not disappointed with its performance. It did a great job. Once I complete the quick attach mount and have that angle control from the tractor seat, trimming will be a chore I look forward to.

Found storage a problem as well as mounting, that thing is well built and heavy for a 70 year old. Built a cart to hold it with casters to move it around my shop. As a bonus it helps to slide it easily into mounting position.
All in all a very good purchase, very pleased with it.
I have had the unit in operation for about 6 hours total now. It works really well!
I use this tool to keep my driveway lane clear of tree limbs and to clear blackberry bushes and other shrubs etc away from the edge of my greenways.
Always be aware of your terrain and don't be too aggressive, keep your tractor vertical!
For me, this toll is 100% perfect for my application.
My observations are not complaints, more an opportunity for some safety and quality improvement.
Observations:
The fasteners to secure to the 0-90 DEG and 0 to -40 DEG slots were supplied as grade 5 hex head cap-screws. I have upgraded these to Grade 8 units to allow for greater torque (130FT/LBS) to be applied to lock the angle of the cutter bar mount in place, works like a charm!
I have an air wrench that is capable of being nominally set at the desired installation torque, which also saves time and effort out of the mount dismount and setting the desired cutter angle.
I would like to see the deluxe mount have larger cup point set screws for securing to the bucket. They do require frequent inspection and tightening. I have installed a 1/8" aluminum shim under the point of the set screw and it seems to give a better bite for securing to the bucket.
My humble opinion also says the at the sickle section needs to have a proper guard installed. It is a heavy unit that requires man handling to be installed on the deluxe bracket. With the cutting section of the bar securely covered, my belief is that it should be much easier to mount on the bracket.
I have passed along my observations to Grant at Canadian Agri Tech, where they were very well received!
Photos are of the install and out in the filed. You can hardly see the bar for the brush covering it!

Problems, not a standard blade, so replacement has to be ordered. The end blade has been knocked off twice.
Also, check bolts often to make sure they done come loose. If they come loose they will hit each other and cause problems.
The Sabre is heavy and can be awkward for one person to mount particularly if it is mounted to the bracket prior to mounting on the bucket. Recommend mounting the bracket first then attach the blade. It takes a little time attaching everything to the bucket. The bracket is attached to the bucket with two bolts that need constant tightening. Vibration from the Sabre causes the bracket to shift and loosen. Be watchful. I recommend getting hyd quick disconnects on each end of the hoses so that the hoses can be removed when adding or removing the Sabre. Helps lighten the load as well getting the hoses out of the way when carrying the Sabre.
I have a Kubota MX5400. I use 2nd gear slow so I can run the rpm’s up while moving at a somewhat steady pace. Light branches are no problem but when you get into the 3/4 to 1” size the cut is not so easy and requires stopping, backing and re-attacking to get the cut. Still working with the Sabre to find the sweet spot for speed and cut. Consider the density of the foliage you plan to use this on before buying. 1” Autumn Olive branches are a challenge for the Sabre. Larger tractors might have an easier go at it.
Overall: it’s a well built product that could use some upgrades (beef up how the bracket mounts to the bucket and design a quick attach for the blade mounting to the bracket instead of 2 bolts). Constantly getting out of the cab to retighten the mounting bolts can be a pain.

I wanted to give a fair review by putting it to work before commenting.
I LOVE IT!
I can now mow the sides of my pond banks, and even better, now SIDE TRIM my logging and ATV trails!
I highly recommend the deluxe bracket as it is worth every penny!
One tip I can offer is that when mounted on the side of the bucket loader the front can feel "tippy" when raised up and side trimming trees.
So I added some weight to the opposite side of my loader bucket and it helps A LOT!
Customer service is FANTASTIC! Thanks Grant!
And my cutter was delivered in two weeks!

Just for giggles I mounted the Samurai on a Struck mini dozer, powered by a 20hp Honda motor. The Samurai performed perfectly, although the mini dozer bucket lift height did limit the amount of vertical height I could obtain, though no fault of the Samurai.
I live in Hilo Hawaii, the rainiest town in the USA. I've seen over 165” of rain so far this year and the Samurai is holding up very well in severely wet conditions. The unit was shipped very well packaged, in a timely manner, and product support has been great. I’m very pleased with the Samurai.
